Scotty Bowman To Join Blackhawks
According to a report on ESPN.com, legendary coach and hockey guru Scotty Bowman is set to join the Chicago Blackhawks as a senior advisor.
The Blackhawks have a 3pm ET news conference scheduled.
Bowman, who has nine Stanley Cup rings, will be a welcome addition for the Hawks.
Since the passing of owner Bill Wirtz, the Blackhawks have been making strong moves. With the additions of Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, Chicago has also added free agents Brian Campbell and Cristobal Huet.
Also, the NHL announced next season’s ‘Winter Classic’ would be in the windy city, pitting the Blackhawks against their long-time rival the Detroit Red Wings.
